There’s no excuses for us – it’s all about practice!
And if you want to come down to our next Thursday evening jam keep your eyes open on this blog
Ben Rouse is very popular on the Uke scene and has recently recorded his take on how to strum flamenco style … watch, practice and then perform!
As always your comments are appreciated and you are always welcome to come down and enjoy an evening of uke playing and singing. We always meet on a Thursday evening from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at either The Lamplighter Pub or The Olde Red Lion – we always put a blog up a couple of days before with the playlist
It’s always great to welcome visitors to The NUGS and last night we were joined by local ukulele teacher and performer Sara Spade. She has been featured on BBC2 and Jools Holland’s Viva La Diva Festival.
As Sara is the second teacher to come and visit us the word must be spreading about The NUGS of Northampton – in fact we were almost packed out last night – it was a great time for ukulele strumming and singing.
She did leave leaflets promoting an event she’s organising called The Great Hikelele on the 7th May – looks like it’ll be a fun day 🙂
As always, your comments are appreciated and next week (14th April) we’ll be at The Olde Red Lion in Kislingbury
We are at The Lamplighter Pub again this week, from 7:00 pm ish to 10:00 pm ish
This weeks songlist will contain a selection of the following songs
Big Yellow Taxi
Friday I’m in love
Don’t you want me

And then as usual any suggestions
Happy strumming and singing
Ian and Mick
