Songlist Thursday 21st June at The Lamplighter Pub

Hi everyone …

It has been a bit hectic the past few weeks. We have been out and about playing and still have three more weekends left to play. I never thought the club would end up with so many great people and playing lots of gigs to help out with local fundraising.

We are again at The Lamplighter this week, from 7:00 pm  ish to 10:00 pm ish and the songlist will probably go something like this:

Blame it on me
I’m yours
Pencil full of lead
Jackson
Galway Girl
Fight song
I useta love her
Read my mind
Cassy O
baker Street
River deep
Swords of a thousand men

At least for the first half of the night

See you all there,

Ian

Songlist for Thursday 9th June at The Lamplighter Pub

Hi all,

This Thursday, we’re at The Lamplighter Pub, starting around 7:00 pm ish to 10:00 pm ish

We’ve got a number of events coming up during the summer so we’ve put the following ‘summer gig list’ together:

Summer Gig Songlist…

• Sunny Afternoon

• I Can See Clearly Now

• California Girls

• What a Day for a Daydream

• Leaving on a Jet Plane

• Riptide

• Peaceful Easy Feeling

• Octopus’s Garden

• Bad Moon Rising

• I’m a Believer

• Sweet Caroline

• In the Summertime

As ever, not precious about the list but we think we’ve captured most of the über-summer songs we do ‘well’. We have included the new version of In the Summertime because we think we nailed that the other night.

We’ve also put on a version of California Girls because that is nice and summery so we thought we could give it a try. Copies of both are attached to the email and will be added to the books. There are also some details of upcoming gigs on the email. If we’ve missed any other good ones summer songs – give us a shout.

The NUGS entertain Facebook at The Olde Red Lion in Kislingbury

As always, it was a great night last night and landlord Martin Black, from the Olde Red Lion ‘shot us’ on his phone performing ‘These boots are meant for walking’ ~ Sinatra … here’s the video evidence:

Visitors are always welcome, so whether you’ve never played the ukulele or have done and not found a place to practice – ‘come on down’ – just look on the blog to see where we are 🙂
