"Hi, we're known as The NUGs (The Northampton Ukulele Group) and we meet at The Lamplighter Pub on a Thursday evening - 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Click here to see what our playlist is this week and to confirm our venue

The NUGS was formed a few years ago when Ian Swift and Verity Demelza Peachy Kenney met for a chat, having both shared an interest in the ukulele on facebook. From that chat came a regular meet up at the Old Black Lion pub in Northampton where the group gradually began to expand and outgrow its practice around the pool table to a collective of around 25 people who now meet every Thursday - we play music across 6 decades but nothing earlier than 1960 unless it's a Christmas Carol - Have a look at the pie chart below (if you click on it you can view our songbooks)
